Download SocketSVC
Everything here comes from the update service the mod itself asks on startup, so it is whatever is published right now. Short link: /d
Asking the update service what is published…
What to pick
- Client is the mod each player puts in their own
modsfolder. Server is what the server runs — the Paper plugin, or the server mod for its loader. Voice needs both ends; any client loader works with any server side. - Quilt runs the Fabric jar. Quilt Loader loads Fabric mods, so no separate Quilt jar is built.
- The Paper plugin and the proxy relay have no Minecraft version to pick: one jar covers every version.
- Pick your game's exact Minecraft version. A jar is built per version and does not claim compatibility with one it was not tested on — see Compatibility.
Jars are named socketsvc-<side>-<loader>-<version>+mc<MC>.jar. Install only one SocketSVC client jar, and never a -slim or -plain file from a release's assets — those are build leftovers, not complete artifacts. Installation has the rest of the steps.
Channels
Release is the published build and the right choice unless you were asked otherwise. Dev is every build off the main branch, published as soon as it is built. A branch channel appears only while someone is testing one. A channel marked (pinned) is frozen to one specific build, which is how a release is published and how a bad one is rolled back.
You do not have to come back here for the next version: the mod updates itself on the channel you choose in its Updates tab. See Updates.
Downloading without this page
Every download button points at the update service, which is a plain HTTP API — so a server's install script can ask it the same question the game does:
# What should a Fabric 26.2 client be running, and where is it?
curl -s 'https://socketsvc-updater.vercel.app/v1/update?side=client&loader=fabric&mc=26.2&channel=release'
# Everything published, every channel: what this page is built from.
curl -s 'https://socketsvc-updater.vercel.app/v1/catalog'The jars are also GitHub release assets, so the releases page and Modrinth carry the same files.
